About

Jennika Finup, NP, is a UW Health Kids pediatric urology nurse practitioner. Jennika cares for children with recurrent urinary tract infections (UTIs), bowel and bladder dysfunction, and abnormal bladder due to a neurologic condition. Jennika also supports surgical care for children with kidney, bladder, penile and testicular issues.

Jennika always involves the patient and their family in developing a plan of care. She places importance on the family and patient understanding and being comfortable with the treatment plan.

She sees some of her patients for years or even decades — from infancy through young adulthood. Jennika enjoys being able to develop long-term relationships with her patients and seeing them improve over time. She values knowing that she made a positive difference in their quality of life.

Jennika has special interests in bowel and bladder dysfunction as well as urologic conditions that develop before birth. Her current research focuses on pediatric bowel and bladder dysfunction.

Outside of work, Jennika enjoys spending time with her family and being outdoors.

I enjoy being able to develop long-term relationships with my patients and their families, so I can really see their quality of life improve over time.
