About

Jennifer Pleva, NP, is a nurse practitioner at UW Health. She treats patients diagnosed with melanoma (skin cancer) or sarcoma (cancer of the bone or connective tissue).

Jennifer enjoys getting to know her patients and being there for them throughout their cancer journey. She feels it’s important to help her patients realize that life doesn’t stop at a cancer diagnosis. She uses her knowledge of cancer treatment options and side effects to create a personalized care plan that’s tailored to each patient.

When a patient comes into the cancer clinic, she recognizes it’s common to feel anxious or stressed. Jennifer actively listens to her patients to help them feel comfortable and relaxed. She explains their diagnosis in meaningful terms to put them at ease. Above all, Jennifer follows her patients and helps them through every step of their diagnosis, treatment and survivorship.

In her free time, Jennifer enjoys traveling, spending time with family and being outside.

I hope my patients feel comfortable coming to me and asking questions about their diagnosis and treatment, knowing that they'll always get a truthful and honest answer.
