Janine Bessemer, PT

Janine Bessemer, PT, is a physical therapist at UW Health. She treats children with pediatric mobility conditions from birth through their teen years.

Janine’s clinical interests include gross motor skill development, balance, gait, bracing, decreased muscle tone (hypotonia) and spinal muscular atrophy (SMA).

Janine embraces her care philosophy by working directly with children and their parents to help each child improve their mobility.

In her free time, Janine enjoys tai chi, singing, hiking, snowshoeing and being outdoors.

I teach children how to move their bodies in healthy and functional ways. I make it motivating and fun because this helps them stay active, which is important for their overall health and well-being.
