About
Jacob Tangney is a UW Health speech language pathologist. He treats patients with voice disorders, including issues related to breathing, swallowing and chronic cough. He researches the relationship between swallowing and voice disorders, as well as breathing disorders that affect the throat. Jacob also provides gender-affirming voice care through his LGBTQA+ inclusive practice.
Jacob believes everyone deserves a voice that works in the best possible way. He enjoys learning about his patients’ unique stories and ensuring they feel heard.
Outside of the clinic, Jacob enjoys creating and listening to music, running, biking and hiking.
I enjoy exploring the relationship between identity and voice and helping people learn to use their vocal instrument as effectively as possible.
