Hailey Hicks, NP

Haley Hicks, NP is a UW Health nurse practitioner in urology. She cares for patients of a wide range of ages and has a strong background in working with older adults. Haley values building trusting relationships and helping people improve their quality of life by addressing concerns that can be hard to talk about. She is proud to be part of a team that works closely together to support patients and connect them with the right specialists when needed.

Haley’s clinical work focuses on women’s urologic health. She sees patients with incontinence, pelvic organ prolapses, urinary retention, neurogenic bladder and other neurologic conditions that affect how the bladder works. She enjoys helping people understand these conditions in simple terms, so they feel confident making decisions about their care. Haley is especially passionate about supporting women who may feel that bladder issues are just a normal part of aging. She wants patients to know that treatment options are available and that small changes can often make a meaningful difference.

In her approach to patient care, Haley believes that patients are the captains of their own ship. She sees her role as providing guidance, education and support so each person can choose the care path that feels right for them. Haley listens closely so she understands her patients’ goals and works with them to create a plan that is safe, effective and tailored to their needs. She values open communication, shared decision making and taking the time to build comfort and trust, especially when discussing sensitive health issues.

Outside of work, Haley enjoys spending time with her family, especially at their cabin in Northern Wisconsin. She loves being outdoors, traveling and finding balance now that she is no longer juggling school and work. One of her favorite personal interests is caring for her collection of seven frogs, a hobby that often surprises people and brings her a lot of joy.
