About

Giuseppe Toia, MD, is an abdominal radiologist at UW Health and is an assistant professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Department of Radiology. He uses imaging results to diagnose conditions in the abdomen and pelvis and removes tissue samples using minimally invasive, image-guided procedures.

Dr. Toia understands every patient has their own perspectives. He is committed to providing care that fully addresses their medical concerns and empowers them by providing the answers they are seeking about their conditions.

With several areas of clinical interest, Dr. Toia has a strong focus on pelvic floor and genitourinary imaging (prostate, pelvic floor dysfunction and renal tumors) and pancreatic cancer. He is also interested in applying novel techniques to image cancer biomarkers and improving the noninvasive study of abdominal tumors.

Committed to furthering the field of radiology, Dr. Toia is involved in clinical research to optimize processes and improve patient health.

Outside his practice, Dr. Toia enjoys playing hockey, hiking and running with his wife, and collecting and playing tabletop games. He also plays piano and bass guitar.
