Francisco Castro, MD, is a UW Health internal medicine doctor and a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Hospital Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Dr. Castro provides care for adults with a variety of medical conditions who require inpatient care in the hospital setting. Dr. Castro treats patients with a wide range of complex and acute (sudden onset) health conditions. These may include infections, injuries, pain, respiratory illnesses, kidney failure and other problems.

Dr. Castro uses a holistic approach to care that addresses each patient’s physical, mental and emotional needs. He believes in treating all patients with dignity and respect while managing their medical problems.

In his free time, Dr. Castro enjoys running and gardening.
