Erica Knavel Koepsel, MD, is a radiologist at UW Health and an assistant professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Department of Radiology. She specializes in MRI-guided interventions for prostate cancer and vascular malformations, IVC filter removal, angioplasties and stent placements, treatments for lymphatic diseases, uterine artery embolization and catheter-based therapies. Dr. Knavel Koepsel has published and presented numerous works on radiology and interventional radiology, both nationally and internationally.

Inspired by her grandfather, a family physician who immigrated to the United States to care for underserved communities, Dr. Knavel Koepsel aspires to provide compassionate, high-quality care to her patients. She relies on both established and innovative techniques. Through research and treatments grounded in safety and effectiveness, Dr. Knavel Koepsel always prioritizes the concerns and preferences of her patients.

In her free time, Dr. Knavel Koepsel enjoys practicing yoga, traveling, hiking and spending time with her family.
