About

Edward Blake, MD, is a UW Health neurologist and assistant professor in the Department of Neurology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He specializes in movement disorders, which are conditions that can affect how a person moves.

Dr. Blake cares for people with Parkinson's disease, essential tremor, dystonia, ataxia, Huntington's disease and many other movement disorders. He chose this subspecialty because many of these conditions can slowly progress over many years and can lead to serious symptoms and disability. He is encouraged that there are more options than ever to help people today, and he is hopeful that research will bring new treatments in the years ahead.

Dr. Blake entered medicine because he felt it was the best way to use his skills to benefit others.

Outside of work, Dr. Blake enjoys listening to and exploring new music. He likes learning what others enjoy and then giving it a try himself.
