About

Dominic Co, MD, is a UW Health Kids pediatric rheumatologist who treats children with autoimmune diseases. Dr. Co cares for patients with juvenile arthritis, lupus, autoimmune connective tissue diseases and other rare diseases. Dr. Co also is an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.

Education is a very important part of Dr. Co’s patient care philosophy. He strives to provide as much information as possible so his patients and their families can make the best decisions about treatment. He tailors each treatment plan to fit the unique needs of the child and family to provide the best overall health outcome. He ensures everyone understands the diagnosis so they can provide the best care at home.

Dr. Co considers his pediatric patients’ emotional health along with their physical health. He encourages his families to engage with advocacy organizations and partner with support groups. This enables families to meet and discuss their children’s rare diseases, while also connecting children who have these diseases.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Co enjoys raising chickens and spending time with his children.

My hope for each of my patients is that they get to be a kid, just like every other kid.
