About

Diane Bussan, MD, is a UW Health family medicine doctor. She cares for people of all ages, from birth through seniors.

Dr. Bussan provides preventive care, skin biopsies, well-child visits, women’s health procedures and joint injections. She also cares for people who are sick with colds, pneumonia, ear infections and flu. She has special interests in women’s health and gender-affirming care.

Dr. Bussan enjoys working with patients on prevention and management of chronic health conditions. She commonly treats people with diabetes, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), hypertension (high blood pressure) and heart disease. Dr. Bussan also has a background in psychology, so she enjoys bringing in that experience and treating mental health conditions.

In addition to patient care, Dr. Bussan is a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Bussan enjoys spending time with her children. Some of their favorite family activities are hiking, being outdoors and attending sports events.

I take the time to know my patients when I first begin seeing them. Then we can work together to help them become healthier and make good decisions about their health moving forward.
