About
Claudette Onyelobi, MD, is a UW Health neonatologist who specializes in the care of newborns with complex medical needs, including premature infants and babies with breathing difficulties, infections, birth defects or other serious conditions. Dr. Onyelobi is also an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.
Dr. Onyelobi provides care in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), where they evaluate and treat newborns using advanced monitoring, specialized procedures and family-centered support. They work closely with a team of nurses, respiratory therapists and other specialists to ensure the best possible outcomes for each baby.
Supporting families during a stressful and emotional time is a priority for Dr. Onyelobi. They emphasize clear communication, compassion and shared decision-making to help parents understand their baby’s condition, treatment plan and ongoing care needs
