About

Brittany Olson, NP, is a UW Health nurse practitioner. She provides care for patients with chronic kidney disease, high blood pressure and acute kidney injury.

Brittany treats all stages of chronic kidney disease, also called CKD, which means the kidneys are not working as well as they should. She also helps patients manage hypertension, also called high blood pressure, and supports patients who have acute kidney injuries.

Brittany entered the medical profession because she is interested in how the body’s systems work together and how medical care and lifestyle changes can impact overall health. She is passionate about supporting patients through vulnerable and challenging times. She strives to create a compassionate, respectful environment where patients feel heard and understood. Her approach is patient-centered care and collaboration. She partners with each patient to understand their goals and develop a personalized care plan that supports their health and well-being.

Outside of work, Brittany enjoys cheering on the Tennessee Volunteers, spending time outdoors and working on home remodel projects. She also likes riding horses and playing with her two dogs.
