About
Bethany Hofman, MS, CCC-SLP, is a UW Health speech-language pathologist.
Bethany provides in-hospital and outpatient speech therapy for people with communication and swallowing disorders. Whether patients struggle with remembering words, forming sentences, or eating and drinking safely, she offers exercises tailored to their needs.
Bethany primarily works with patients who have voice problems and neurological (brain, spinal cord and nerve) disorders, such as Parkinson’s disease. She also sees people with cognitive disorders, or conditions like Alzheimer’s disease, that impact memory and other thinking skills.
Additionally, Bethany supports patients with head and neck cancer in managing speech challenges.
Bethany was inspired by the speech therapist who cared for her mother following brain cancer surgery. After her mother regained the ability to speak, Bethany knew she wanted to spend her life providing hope for people in similar situations. Through compassionate, patient-centered care, she empowers people to find their voice.
I strive to provide the same level of compassionate care that I would want for my own family.
