Andrew Sandgren, PT, is a UW Health physical therapist who cares for patients with chronic pain and movement issues. With a doctorate in physical therapy, Andrew is skilled in treating both musculoskeletal (affecting bones, muscles, ligaments and tendons) and neuropathic issues (nerve issues that cause shooting pain, numbness, tingling or weakness). He has a clinical interest in managing hypermobility spectrum disorders. With these disorders, the joints are too flexible and stretch more than they should, putting the patient at risk for injury and other health problems. Andrew’s mission with each of his patients is to relieve their pain and to increase their strength, endurance and coordination. During physical therapy sessions, he asks questions and evaluates movement problems, exploring possible causes and solutions. He then works with patients to set goals and design personalized exercise and therapy plans. During his free time, Andrew enjoys spending time with his family and participating in outdoor activities in the Madison area. I am determined to help people overcome their pain and movement problems so they can function well and live full, productive lives.
