About
Andrew Lewandowski, DO, is a UW Health Kids pediatrician. He’s also an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health with professional expertise in climate change and health communications.
Dr. Lewandowski provides health care for patients under the age of 18. He treats acute (sudden) concerns, such as colds or rashes and chronic (long-term) conditions like diabetes and asthma. He offers preventive health services, including growth and development screenings, well-check visits and vaccinations.
As a researcher, Dr. Lewandowski studies the impact of climate change on health. He educates the public, policymakers and other health care professionals on the health impacts of climate change and how the environment can affect our well-being. He also practices wilderness medicine. This involves treating illnesses and injuries in remote areas with limited resources. Dr. Lewandowski combines traditional medicine with whole-body care. He enjoys building relationships with his young patients and their families and helping them learn about healthy living.
Outside of work, Dr. Lewandowski enjoys baking, woodworking, juggling, playing piano and spending time with his kids. He also participates in outdoor activities, including hiking, camping and climbing.
I love learning about others and helping families achieve and maintain good health.
