Anand Narayan, MD, PhD

About

Anand Narayan, MD, is a UW Health radiologist. He is also an associate professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in the Department of Radiology.

Using advanced technologies, Dr. Narayan works to detect and diagnose breast cancer in its earliest stages. He reads all types of mammograms (X-ray pictures of the breast) to check for cancer and to examine breast tissue abnormalities. When patients experience breast symptoms, Dr. Narayan conducts special imaging tests to check for cancer and to help determine what is causing those symptoms.

Dr. Narayan is passionate about the importance of detecting breast cancer early and helping people find the right treatment to overcome their disease.

In addition to patient care, Dr. Narayan researches ways to help more people get breast cancer screening before their cancers advance to a late stage. He works to create an inclusive health care environment for people of all backgrounds.

During his free time, Dr. Narayan enjoys spending time with his family, reading, watching documentaries and sports and exploring Wisconsin.

Breast cancer does not have to be a death sentence. Using innovative tools, we can find breast cancer early and offer our patients hope.
