About
Amy Hanson, MD, is a UW Health Kids pediatric critical care doctor and an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She works in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), where she helps care for children from birth to age 26 who are very sick. These children may have serious problems with their lungs, heart, brain, kidneys, hormones, stomach, infections, or may have been hurt in accidents or burns.
Dr. Hanson has special interest in helping children who need dialysis while in the PICU. She also works to make sure all patients and families are treated fairly, especially those who speak languages other than English. Her goal is to make sure every child gets the best care possible, no matter their background.
