Amik Sodhi, MD, is a UW Health pulmonary and critical care doctor and an associate professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Allergy, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Dr. Sodhi cares for critically ill patients in the intensive care unit.

Dr. Sodhi uses non-invasive ultrasound technology to diagnose and treat patients with sepsis and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and those in respiratory failure or shock. She also treats patients with general lung conditions.

Dr. Sodhi’s philosophy is to allow patients and families to be part of the decision-making process. She believes that patient education and open dialogue are essential for quality patient care.

In her free time, Dr. Sodhi enjoys reading and being active outdoors, including hiking and biking.

Guiding patients and family members through a time of stress, confusion and distress is a privilege.
