About

Alyssa Villarreal, OT, is an occupational therapist at UW Health. She specializes in hand to shoulder orthopedic conditions, including lymphedema (swelling caused by lymphatic fluid build-up).

As a hand and lymphedema specialist, Alyssa cares for a range of upper extremity issues, including sprains and strains, tendonitis, wrist and finger fractures, tendon repairs and transfers, arthritis, and primary and secondary lymphedema. She participates in oncology (cancer) rehabilitation and has a clinical interest in working with athletes and patients with tendon-specific injuries.

Dedicated to providing the most optimal care possible, Alyssa partners with her patients to design holistic and creative solutions. She strives to get to know her patients and help them return to the things that matter most to them.

Outside of work, Alyssa enjoys running, biking, swimming and spending time with her family. She participates in triathlons and has a lifetime goal of running a half marathon in each state.

I believe every patient should get the care they need to thrive in their environment.
