Allison Hultgren, NP, is a UW Health Kids nurse practitioner in pediatric and adolescent medicine. She offers primary care services for children from birth through age 18.
Allison treats sudden illnesses, including colds, coughs, flu, sore throat and ear infections. She treats minor injuries and helps children manage ongoing conditions such as asthma and allergies. She also provides annual physicals and well-visits to monitor her patients’ growth, social development and overall well-being.
Allison has a special interest in children’s mental health. She offers ADHD evaluations and cares for children with anxiety and depression. As needed, she works with other providers to make sure her patients get the right care to live happy, functional lives.
During visits, Allison talks with her young patients using words they can understand. She listens closely to their concerns and takes time to talk with parents and family members. Together, they create care plans with written instructions to make sure everyone is on the same page.
Allison believes that regular follow-up care is extremely important. She enjoys watching her patients learn, grow and thrive over time.
Away from the clinic, Allison enjoys reading, spending time outdoors, traveling and caring for her cat, Pickles.
I'm a firm believer that every child deserves the opportunity to be happy and healthy, mentally and physically.
