About

Allie Korbel is a pediatric occupational therapist at UW Health.

Allie evaluates and treats children who have trouble functioning in their daily lives due to a wide range of orthopedic, neurological, behavioral and developmental conditions. These issues may include everything from ADHD, autism, and Down syndrome to brain injury, conduct disorders, learning problems and bone deformities.

During occupational therapy sessions, Allie works to help children develop key skills they need to interact with others and manage their life at home and at school — such as how to play with toys, get dressed, brush their teeth, hold a pencil, use a wheelchair or control anger and frustration.

Her goal is to help young people improve their ability to function so they can live active, fulfilling lives.

I like to connect with children and families, learn what is most important to them, and let that information guide my evaluations and treatment plans.
