About

Adam Raschko, PA, is a UW Health physician assistant who specializes in cardiology. He cares for patients with heart and circulation (how blood moves in the body) issues, including high blood pressure and high cholesterol. He also treats patients with heart failure, heart attack and irregular heartbeat (atrial fibrillation or aFib).

He talks to patients about their symptoms and health history. Adam wants each one to feel heard and comfortable asking questions and sharing concerns. With what he learns, he talks with patients about lifestyle changes and potential medicines. He coordinates treatment to help patients feel better and improve their heart health.

Adam is passionate about equity in health care. He works to find ways around financial and other challenges, so his patients can receive the best possible care. The more informed people are, Adam believes, the better they can care for themselves. That’s why he spends time educating his patients about their condition.

When he’s not at work, Adam enjoys his time with family, which includes a mini cockapoo, Maple, and a cat named Cannoli. He likes to play golf and pickleball and taking walks through his neighborhood.

The heart can be a scary organ to have issues with. It is our job as clinicians to relieve some of the anxious feelings while also making sure we do everything we can to alleviate our patients’ symptoms.
