About

Adam Burr, MD, is a UW Health radiation oncologist who treats patients with head and neck cancer, skin cancer and benign kidney conditions. Dr. Burr is a assistant professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Human Oncology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.

Dr. Burr understands that each patient has different needs in their cancer journey. When he meets a patient for the first time, he learns as much as he can about their life, their treatment goals and what’s important to them. He tailors each care plan to get the best results for that individual patient. Dr. Burr explains their treatments and what to expect along the way, to help reduce stress and anxiety.

For the comfort of his patients, Dr. Burr is excited about emerging technology that allows head and neck cancer patients to stand for their treatments.

In his free time, Dr. Burr enjoys camping, canoeing, fishing and going to the Wisconsin Dells with his family.

My goal for each patient is to find a treatment that is effective and aggressive, but also retains their quality of life and reduces long-term side effects.
