About

Abby McGuire, PA, is a physician assistant  at UW Health. Abby cares for patients of all ages, from newborn through adulthood. She treats acute illnesses and infections as well as chronic conditions, such as diabetes, high cholesterol and high blood pressure. She also offers care for anxiety and depression and performs well-child checks, adult physicals and contraception counseling.

As a physician assistant, Abby enjoys getting to know each patient. When her patients face medical challenges, she works as a team with them to create a treatment plan and set goals to achieve a healthier lifestyle.

In addition to her clinical practice, Abby also serves as an assistant clinical professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Physician Assistant Program.

When not caring for patients, Abby enjoys being active and spending time with family.

It’s rewarding to help patients reach their goals — whether that be better blood sugar numbers, weight loss or improving their anxiety.
