Madison, Wis. — COVID-19 vaccines are now available at UW Health primary care clinics throughout the Dane County area.
Currently, COVID-19 vaccines are accessible at 10 clinics, and in the coming weeks most UW Health primary care clinics will be able to offer vaccines to patients and the public.
This is great news for our community, and the next logical step in the fight against COVID-19, according to Andrea Wipperfurth, director, ambulatory care model, UW Health.
Anyone 12 years old and older is eligible to receive the Pfizer vaccine, which UW Health has available. Vaccines are free and no identification or proof of insurance is required. To sign up for a vaccination at any UW Health location where it is available, visit https://coronavirus.uwhealth.org/covid-19-vaccine/
“Providing vaccines at local clinics makes it even easier for patients and community members to access a vaccine if they still need one, and it allows us to combat this virus like other diseases that require a routine vaccination, such as the flu,” Wipperfurth said. “Patients can request a COVID-19 vaccine at their next appointment alongside other vaccinations.”
