Karen Baumann, PT, is a UW Health physical therapist. 

Karen treats patients with orthopedic (bone, joint or muscle) conditions of the arms, legs and spine. She has a special interest in treating patients who have hip and knee osteoarthritis and orthopedic balance challenges.  

Karen uses manual therapies and individualized exercise programs to reduce pain and improve function after injury or surgery. She has a doctorate in physical therapy and additional certifications in manual therapy, the Graston technique (used on scar tissue and adhesions in muscles, tendons and ligaments) and dry needling. 

Karen enjoys getting to know her patients and partnering with them to design and implement a personalized plan that helps them achieve their goals.
