Jeff combines his education and experience as a Paramedic, ER, critical care transport, ICU and Orthopedic Nurse Practitioner to take care of patients throughout their journey to accomplish their health goals.  Jeff brings a wealth of medical knowledge and preparation coming from 8 years working as a Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner.  He cares for his patients holistically and keeps their overall health in mind while treating their injuries as well as other acute or chronic medical problems.  

Jeff became interested in orthopedic surgery and orthopedic injuries due to his desire to help people recover and from many years as an ER and ICU Nurse.  As an athlete, he likes to treat people with exercise and overs-use injuries.  Jeff’s special interests include upper extremity concerns including shoulders, elbows, sports related injuries and general fracture care.

About Nurse Practitioners (NPs)

At UW Health, nurse practitioners work together on teams with physicians to provide direct medical care to patients of all ages across primary, specialty, hospital and long-term care settings. A nurse practitioner is a registered nurse with a master's or doctorate degree. They have advanced education, training and certification in the diagnosis, management, prevention and treatment of common and complex medical conditions. Nurse practitioners are also referred to as advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs) and advanced practice providers (APPs). Their training focuses on nursing and medical models of care, overall health and wellness.
