Doug practices physical therapy at the UW Health Sports Rehabilitation Clinic. He has clinical interests in facilitating return to sport by focusing on the proper specific body mechanics and mental aspects necessary for success. Ideally, these tools provide rehabilitation and recovery, as well as help reduce future injury and dysfunction. Doug's special interests include working with Ultimate Frisbee athletes and in the clinical education of future physical therapists.
Doug is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and is licensed by the State of Wisconsin. He is also a certified and Wisconsin-licensed athletic trainer. Doug sees patients upon referral and through Physical Therapy Direct Access (self referral).
Doug has a Bachelors degree in Athletic Training from Gustavus Adolphus College and a Masters of Physical Therapy degree from the Mayo School of Health Sciences. He is board certified in sports physical therapy by the American Physical Therapy Association and certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a strength and conditioning specialist.
