About

Dave Goodspeed, MD, is a UW Health orthopedic surgeon who treats patients with bone or joint injuries. He specializes in hip preservation surgery and orthopedic trauma, including loss of a limb or large-scale injuries that affect multiple bones and joints. Dr. Goodspeed is a associate professor in the Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.

It's very important to Dr. Goodspeed that he and his patients work together as a team. He involves his patients in decisions on treatment and care plans to improve their lifestyle and long-term health outcomes. He listens to his patients carefully and gives them time to talk about the things that are important to them.

To Dr. Goodspeed, each patient is important and deserves the best care possible. Regardless of their background or personal situation, he gives everything possible to each case. Especially for his patients with a traumatic orthopedic injury, he advocates for them and helps them get back to their life before injury.

In his free time, Dr. Goodspeed enjoys sports and working on his hobby farm.

At UW Health, we care about people, and it makes me proud to be part of this team.
