About

Andrew T. Braun, MD, is a UW Health pulmonary and critical care medicine doctor, and also serves as the director of the UW Health Adult Cystic Fibrosis Clinic. He cares for adults over age 18 who have cystic fibrosis, a genetic disease that affects the lungs and other organs throughout the body.

Dr. Braun also cares for people who have had or are facing a lung transplant. In addition, he treats those with bronchiectasis (chronic lung infection) and sleep disorders, such as sleep apnea, insomnia and restless legs syndrome (RLS).

In addition to his clinical role, Dr. Braun is an assistant professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. His research interests include cystic fibrosis therapeutics, sleep-related breathing disorders, metabolic consequences of advanced lung disease and lung transplantation. He finds it rewarding to help bring relief to people who have been suffering from these conditions for a long time.

My goal when I meet any patient is to focus on their needs and collaborate with them to find a treatment plan that works best for them.
