About

Andrew Knox, MD, is a UW Health Kids pediatric neurologist and an assistant professor in the Department of Neurology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Dr. Knox specializes in treating children with epilepsy and other neurologic conditions, including headaches.

Board-certified in neurology with a special qualification in child neurology, Dr. Knox treats children with the full spectrum of epilepsy and seizure conditions. He works with children in the hospital and clinic setting, providing various treatment options to best fit their needs — from medicine to surgery.

With all patients, Dr. Knox’s primary goal is to give them freedom from seizures. At the first meeting, he strives to understand their medical history and experience with seizures. He uses a team approach to care, working together with families to determine the best treatment options.

In his free time, Dr. Knox enjoys playing a variety of instruments, volunteering with his church, reading, biking and snowboarding.

It’s crucial to work with families when determining care. The goal is always to enable patients to live a normal life as best they can with what's going on.
