About

Amy Chybowski, NP, is a UW Health nurse practitioner. She treats patients with asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases (COPD), interstitial lung disease and other pulmonary (lung) conditions.

Amy specializes in treating adults with pulmonary hypertension. As a nurse practitioner, she educates, informs and provides recommendations to patients regarding their medical concerns. 

Amy decided to enter the medical profession after a close friend in their teens was critically injured. Amy experienced firsthand the important work of health care professionals. She knew then she wanted to help people navigate their own medical journeys.

Amy is part of a clinical trials team researching the effectiveness and use of pulmonary therapies. She assists with clinic visits and medical exams of enrolled patients.

In her free time, Amy enjoys reading, hiking and spending time with her husband and two children.

Shared decision-making for better quality of life is central to the relationship I have with my patients.
