Tyler Prout, MD, FACR is a UW Health radiologist and a clinical professor within the Division of Community Radiology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Dr. Prout is fellowship trained in abdominal imaging. He interprets medical images such as x-rays, ultrasounds, MRIs and CT scans to diagnose medical conditions throughout the body. quality improvement, hepatobiliary imaging, prostate MRI, CT colonoscopy, thyroid imaging, and osteoporosis imaging. Throughout his career, Dr. Prout has remained focused on patient safety programs and has championed several quality improvement initiatives. As the prior US modality chief he helped implement the adoption of a software solution which auto populates ultrasound measurements into standardized ultrasound report template, improving efficiency and accuracy. He’s also been instrumental in developing and implementing processes that increase efficiency and reduce the risk of medical errors.  He has also led initiatives related to quality improvement for DXA reporting for osteoporosis. His goal is to enhance and standardize peer-learning practices as a means of improving patient care and outcomes.

Outside of work, Dr. Prout enjoys golf, running and woodworking.
