Paulina Phillips, MD

Acerca de

Paulina Phillips, MD, is a UW Health transplant hepatologist and gastroenterologist. She’s also a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology.

Dr. Phillips diagnoses and treats acute (short-term) and chronic (long-term) liver conditions. These include hepatitis B and C, alcohol-associated liver disease, metabolic-associated fatty liver disease, autoimmune liver disease and liver tumors. She’s skilled in performing liver biopsies, colonoscopies and upper endoscopies. Dr. Phillips treats patients before and after liver transplant surgery and manages immunosuppression.

Dr. Phillips listens carefully to patients to understand their perspectives and goals. She educates them about their condition and treatment options so they can participate in health care decisions and condition management.

Outside of work, Dr. Phillips enjoys spending time with her husband and children. She likes running, crocheting and playing video games.

I want every patient to feel heard, understood and empowered to be involved in their care.
