Naren Patel, DPM

Dr. Naren Patel is a podiatric surgeon at UW Health. He specializes in treating conditions of the foot and ankle, with a focus on limb preservation and diabetic foot care. Dr. Patel is committed to helping patients regain mobility and improve their quality of life through expert surgical care. 

Dr. Patel’s clinical interests include diabetic foot syndrome, complex foot and ankle deformities and amputation prevention. He performs advanced surgeries such as Charcot foot reconstruction and works closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care. His goal is to help patients walk pain-free and avoid unnecessary amputations. 

Dr. Patel believes in an open-minded and patient-centered approach to care. He listens carefully to each patient’s goals and works collaboratively to develop individualized treatment plans. He emphasizes transparency, education and shared decision-making to ensure patients feel informed and supported throughout their journey. 

Outside of work, Dr. Patel enjoys spending time at the lake with his family, including his three children and their dog. He also likes camping and hiking, making the most of Wisconsin’s natural beauty during the summer months. 

Getting patients from a debilitated state to walking again and back to their families is the most rewarding part of my job.
