Acerca de

Mohamed Zaazoue, MD is a UW Health neurosurgeon and an assistant professor in the Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He specializes in treating conditions that affect the brain, spine and nerves. His focus is helping patients with spine problems that make it hard to walk, stand or live without pain.

Dr. Zaazoue treats many spine conditions, including scoliosis, kyphosis, spine tumors, and injuries. He is especially interested in complex spine disorders that need advanced surgeries. He works to help patients feel better and get back to doing the things they enjoy. He also does research to find safer ways to perform these surgeries and improve recovery.

When caring for patients, Dr. Zaazoue listens closely to their goals and concerns. He believes that every patient is different and deserves a treatment plan that fits their life. He takes time to explain what’s happening in the body using images like MRIs and X-rays. His goal is to help patients feel confident and supported in their decisions.

Outside of work, Dr. Zaazoue enjoys spending time with his wife. They like working out together at home. He also loves teaching medical students and residents, helping them become skilled and caring surgeons. He believes in passing on knowledge to the next generation.

I don’t treat X-rays or MRIs—I treat people. I always ask myself, if this were my family member, what would I tell them to do?
