Maureen Ivers, NP, is a UW Health nurse practitioner specializing in hematology and stem cell transplant. She works closely with patients diagnosed with blood cancers such as leukemia, lymphoma and multiple myeloma, providing care throughout their treatment journey.
Maureen’s clinical focus includes hematologic malignancies and cellular therapies. She sees patients undergoing stem cell transplants and CAR T-cell therapy and performs procedures such as bone marrow biopsies. Her work is deeply rooted in clinical research, particularly in the treatment of blood cancers.
Maureen believes in making patients feel heard and supported throughout their cancer journey. She emphasizes shared decision-making and ensures that treatment plans align with each patient’s goals. She considers it a privilege to be part of such a critical time in her patients’ lives and strives to provide compassionate, personalized care.
Outside of work, Maureen enjoys spending time outdoors with her family. She and her son love exploring Wisconsin’s lakes, traveling up north and downhill skiing together.
My hope for each patient is that they understand they are more than what a cancer diagnosis is.
