Acerca de

Maria Carwile, NP, is a UW Health nurse practitioner specializing in family medicine. She cares for patients of all ages, from newborns to older adults and enjoys being part of their health journey.

Maria treats a wide range of conditions. She helps patients with common illnesses like colds, flu and sore throats, as well as chronic conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Maria values the variety in her work and appreciates the opportunity to see and treat many different health concerns.

Maria’s approach to care is patient-centered. She believes in listening closely to each patient and working together to make shared decisions. Her goal is to treat the whole person, not just physical symptoms. She considers mental, emotional and social aspects of health. When meeting a new patient, Maria focuses on understanding their goals, preferences and values to create a plan that works for them.

Outside of work, Maria loves spending time outdoors. She enjoys walking her puppy, skiing in the winter and being with family. These activities help her stay balanced and connected to the things she loves most.

My hope for every patient is that they leave each visit feeling empowered about their health and confident in the steps we’ve planned together,” says Maria. “I want them to know they are heard, valued, and supported.
