Lisa Arkin, MD

About

Lisa Arkin, MD, is a UW Health dermatologist and the director of Pediatric Dermatology at UW Health. She is also an associate professor in the Department of Dermatology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.

Dr. Arkin cares for patients with a wide range of both common and rare skin diagnoses, including vascular birthmarks, scarring, atopic dermatitis, psoriasis and autoimmune skin disease.

She is a national expert in laser surgery and treats patients of all ages with vascular birthmarks and scars. Her research focuses on finding precision-based treatments for vascular anomalies using a multidisciplinary approach. She co-directs the Birthmarks and Vascular Anomalies Program and the Autoimmune Skin Disease Clinic at UW Health.

She finds joy in helping patients to find the most effective treatments for their skin disease. Ultimately, Dr. Arkin believes that shared decision-making is the best way for physicians to partner with patients in their care and to ultimately make them feel better.

Outside of work, Dr. Arkin enjoys reading, running, and exploring Madison with her family.

I love witnessing the moments when my patients see and feel the change in themselves. The best part of my job is seeing my patients smile.
