Lauren Fetsko, DO, is a UW Health Kids pediatric rehabilitation doctor and an assistant professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Developmental Pediatrics and Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Dr. Fetsko provides care for children with a range of medical conditions and disabilities acquired at birth or during early childhood. These include cerebral palsy, spina bifida, limb deficiencies, spinal cord injuries and traumatic brain injuries. Because Dr. Fetsko recognizes that care should be specific to the patient, she tailors each treatment plan to fit the unique needs of the child and family in order to provide the best overall health outcome. For children with mobility issues, she provides aids such as wheelchairs and braces. For children with communication challenges, she uses the latest therapies, devices and assistive technologies to assist and improve the child’s quality of life.   What excites Dr. Fetsko the most is when her patients achieve their goals and become more independent. She enjoys seeing her patients learn new skills and navigate daily life more easily. When Dr. Fetsko isn’t caring for patients, she enjoys crocheting, biking, hiking and being outdoors. My goal is to get kids doing the things that they want to do in their daily life; I love working with families to make that happen.
