Laura Huffman, MD

Laura Huffman, MD, is a UW Health gynecologic oncologist and an assistant professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She cares for patients with cancers of the gynecologic organs.

Dr. Huffman diagnoses and treats patients with vulvar, vaginal, cervical, uterine and ovarian cancers. She offers a comprehensive range of treatment options, including systemic therapies such as chemotherapy as well as advanced surgical procedures, including HIPEC. She also provides compassionate end-of-life care for patients with advanced or terminal cancer.

Committed to guiding patients throughout their cancer journey, Dr. Huffman values building long-term relationships with patients and their families. She recognizes the significant emotional and physical challenges that accompany a cancer diagnosis and works to alleviate anxiety through clear communication, patient education and shared decision-making. She also collaborates closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive comprehensive, supportive care.

Outside of her clinical practice, Dr. Huffman enjoys exploring new foods, cooking, traveling and spending time with family, friends, and her dog, Riley.
