About

Kevin Riggle, MD, is a UW Health Kids pediatric general surgeon. He’s also an assistant professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health in the Department of Surgery, Division of Pediatric Surgery.

Using the latest surgical techniques, Dr. Riggle performs a wide range of chest and abdominal procedures for patients from newborns to young adults. He treats chest wall deformities and abnormalities of the lungs, diaphragm and gastrointestinal system. He also repairs hernias, performs appendectomies, creates access for feeding tubes and provides many other surgical services.

When Dr. Riggle meets with a family, he carefully explains their child’s diagnosis and outlines both surgical and nonsurgical treatment options. He listens to their concerns, answers questions, and helps them gather important information to make the best decisions for their child.

One of Dr. Riggle’s passions is providing high-quality surgical care for children and families who live in rural areas. He understands the family’s stress when a child has complex medical issues, and he believes it’s important to offer treatment options close to home.

During his free time, Dr. Riggle enjoys camping, hiking and spending time with his family.

One of the most rewarding parts of my job is serving families and helping their children overcome complicated medical conditions.
