Janine Rhoades, MD, is a maternal-fetal medicine specialist at UW Health and an assistant professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She cares for patients with pregnancies that are considered high risk due to their own medical conditions or issues with the baby.  Dr. Rhoades treats a wide-range of pregnancy complications, including high blood pressure, diabetes, kidney disease, cervical insufficiency, problems with the placenta, fetal abnormalities, organ malformation and preterm labor.  With great compassion and expertise, Dr. Rhoades helps women manage the physical and emotional challenges of high-risk pregnancy. She recognizes that her medical specialty requires an intricate balance of care for mother and baby. Knowing this, she takes care to reassure, educate and empower her patients while also providing the best treatment possible.   Away from the clinic, Dr. Rhoades enjoys family time, college sports and travel.  We reassure, educate and empower high-risk pregnancy patients to take care of themselves while also providing the best treatment possible.
