About

Gregory DeMuri, MD, is a UW Health Kids pediatric infectious disease doctor.

Dr. DeMuri treats children with a wide range of infections, including meningitis, pneumonia and strep throat. He cares for children with various lung, sinus, bone, joint, muscle and skin infections. He also treats Lyme disease, a bacterial infection caused by ticks, and cares for children who contract diseases while traveling outside the United States.

To help relieve the stress that parents and children often feel during their visit, Dr. DeMuri assures them of his experience. He asks about the children’s symptoms and carefully explains their conditions using terms that are easy to understand.

Dr. DeMuri’s patient care philosophy is to provide the most up-to-date information and advanced treatment options so families can make good decisions about their children’s care.

In addition to patient care, Dr. DeMuri serves as a professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He conducts research on respiratory infections in children, including strep throat, sinus infections and the common cold.

During his free time, Dr. DeMuri loves to cook, especially Italian food. He also enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking and camping.

I enjoy science and use the latest treatments to help children recover from their infections and stay healthy.
