Learn more about robotic surgery
Dr. Murtaza is one of a few doctors nationwide who performs totally endoscopic coronary artery bypass (TECAB). This surgery provides full revascularization, which helps get blood flowing again to areas that weren’t getting enough blood. Dr. Murtaza performs the surgery on a beating heart using robotic technology and small incisions.
All of his treatments take a collaborative, patient-first approach to keep everyone informed. He entered the health care field because he was drawn to the idea of using his skills to help people when they have the greatest needs. Heart surgery especially appeals to him because it takes precision, high-stakes decision making and the ability to truly change the course of a patient’s life.
Dr. Murtaza is passionate about staying active through skiing and hiking. He enjoys spending quality time with his family and having quiet moments to read about advances in technology and innovation.
I believe communication, empathy and partnership with patients and their families are just as important as technical excellence. Healing is a team effort and the patient is always at the center of it.
