Eva K. Allen, NP

About

Eva Allen, NP, is a nurse practitioner who cares for adult patients with blood disorders and blood cancers.

Her special area of clinical interest is sickle cell disease, an inherited blood disorder that affects red blood cells. She also excels in performing procedures such as bone marrow biopsies and lumbar punctures (spinal taps).

Eva wants her patients to feel comfortable asking questions so that they can better understand their health conditions. She enjoys helping people get through difficult times so they feel better and have a better quality of life.

In her free time, Eva enjoys watching her kids play sports. Her family also likes hiking and taking road trips.

I wanted to become a nurse practitioner after my first time seeing a nurse practitioner for my own health. I really appreciated how she made me feel comfortable. I was very nervous. But, by the end of the appointment, I felt at ease and had a good understanding of my own medical situation. I thought this is what I want to do when I finish school.
