About

Emily Staudt, PA, is a UW Health physician assistant specializing in colorectal surgery. As part of the colorectal surgical team, Emily provides pre- and post-operative care for patients having colorectal surgery.

Emily also helps patients manage a range of conditions affecting the colon and rectum, including inflammatory bowel diseases such as Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, colorectal cancer and hemorrhoids. She has a special clinical interest in anal dysplasia (a precancerous condition).

Emily believes in treating each patient like they’re a member of her own family. She takes time to get to know them and understand their concerns, so she can help create a customized care plan that meets their needs, goals and lifestyle. She enjoys working as part of an expert multidisciplinary care team to get her patients on the road to improved health.

In addition to her clinical role, Emily assists with clinical trials for anal dysplasia screening and cancer treatment.

Outside of work, Emily is an avid runner and enjoys baking.

The most rewarding part of taking care of patients is when I get to say ‘goodbye’ for the last time — when they’ve gone through treatment and they’ve healed. That’s the best.
