David Paolone, MD

About

David Paolone, MD, is a UW Health urologist and an associate professor and vice chair for Regional Urology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.

Dr. Paolone’s special areas of interest include men’s health, Peyronie’s disease (penile curvature), erectile dysfunction (ED) and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). He also provides care for patients with kidney stones, female urologic conditions and urologic cancer.

Dr. Paolone’s approach to care involves focusing on his patient’s individual goals and objectives. He spends time with each person to fully understand what they’re hoping to achieve and then builds a care plan to meet those goals.

Dr. Paolone gravitated toward the field of urology because he saw that urologists can have a huge impact on people’s quality of life. He enjoys working with his patients to improve multiple important aspects of their day-to-day lives, including urination and sexual function.

In his free time, Dr. Paolone enjoys hiking, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding and golfing.

I think patient care really needs to be focused on the goals and objective for the patient — what they’re trying to achieve and what I can offer them.
