David Kosoff, MD

David Kosoff, MD, is a UW Health hematologist and assistant professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health.

Dr. Kosoff cares for hospitalized patients with a wide range of hematologic conditions, including blood cancers, anemia, bleeding and clotting disorders, sickle cell disease and other complex blood disorders. He evaluates patients, manages their medical needs and develops individualized treatment plans to address both acute and chronic hematologic conditions. He also provides care for patients with serious illnesses who require close monitoring, specialized therapies and coordinated inpatient treatment.

Dr. Kosoff works closely with patients, families and multidisciplinary care teams to coordinate care. He collaborates with oncologists, hospitalists, pharmacists, nurses and other specialists to ensure patients receive timely, evidence-based treatment. He uses the latest advances in hematology to develop personalized treatment plans while emphasizing patient safety, clear communication and high-quality care throughout hospitalization.

Dr. Kosoff is committed to compassionate, patient-centered care and helping patients and their families better understand their diagnosis, treatment options and overall care plan. He supports patients throughout their hospital stay by providing education, addressing concerns and coordinating transitions of care.
